About the Nazarene Denomination

The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian denomination with roots in the Wesleyan-Holiness movement. It's the largest denomination within the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, emphasizing sanctification as a second work of grace after conversion. The church has a global presence, with headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas.

 

The Church of the Nazarene is known for its emphasis on sanctification, a process by which believers are cleansed from sin and filled with God's love, enabling them to live a life of holiness.

 

It aligns with the theological tradition of John Wesley, emphasizing grace, free will, and the importance of striving for personal holiness.

 

The Church of the Nazarene has a significant global presence, with a worldwide membership of nearly 3 million.

 

A key aspect of the church's mission is to make Christ-like disciples to all nations, and is represented by  30,000 congregations in 165 world areas.
